I love color, I really do. This Fall season it’s all about texture, jewel tone COLOR and the pop of red. But just to be different from the crowd that’s aiming to impress with their fantastic color blocking skills- I like to mix it up by being dramatic and donning Black and White. Yes, it’s been done, but we’ve forgotten already how striking one looks walking through a room like you came out of a an old 30′s glam photoshoot. It’s genius in the world of color right now. I’m taking my inspiration from no other but, Paris.
It’s a creative, romantic and inspirational city. From it’s architecture to the people who eat, live and breathe fashion- how can you not want to take a piece of it and pretend you’re in that world for a day?
Here are a few photos that have inspired me: Simple but somehow dramatic.

I’m loving this Lace & Embroidery Trend seen on the runways for Spring 2011. Dolce & Gabbana featured a variety of lace and embroidery dresses- and unfortunately I do not have the luxury to spend over $100o on a dress. That is okay though because their clothing has inspired apparel manufacturers of all price points. Here are beautiful images from the Dolce & Gabbana fashion show and other photos that have inspired me:

And for those who may just want a small touch of Lace here is an image from my polyvore that gives you a stylish outfit- to wear out to lunch with girlfriends, a date, school or anything: http://www.polyvore.com/cgi/set?id=31492435

I love feminine silhouettes and color. Spring in Chicago is the perfect time to wear such clothing, we have so many great restaurants and outdoor events how could you not want to show off your cute outfit? Anyway- I was recently introduced to this RTW line-> Erdem and I totally fell in love!
What are your thoughts? Have you discovered any fabulous underrated designers?
